Depending on the agreed role, duties may include observing designated areas, carrying out agreed patrols, reporting concerns promptly and following the site’s established procedures. Fire marshal, fire warden and waking-watch duties are not interchangeable in every situation; the exact role, training, instructions and responsibilities must be defined before deployment.
